Critique Of Joseph Fletcher’s Book – “Situation Ethics The New Morality”

Can the Bible be trusted? Yes! Here’s the evidence. NO TRANSLATION WITHOUT PRESERVATION (Biblical Studies Series from Self Publishing Innovations)  Since it is the author’s contention that a lack of respect for the authority of God’s inspired revelation, the Bible, is the greatest reason for the moral crisis in America today (and in the world generally), this material has been made public. Satan’s influence through the false philosophy of situation ethics may be seen on a daily basis in our present day society and culture. While Joseph Fletcher’s doctrinally poisonous book of 176 pages is not responsible for all the moral, ethical problems in our society, his efforts at influencing religious people toward a liberal, lax, and faulty interpretation of the Bible cannot go unnoticed. It is hoped that the reader will find an easy reference to Fletcher’s doctrines and their Biblical refutations. Most important, it is hoped that this will aid the sincere Bible student to follow’s God’s ethical rule for his life (that is, the New Testament, Jude 3; 2 John 9-11; Acts 2:42) and assist in his awareness of Satan’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11; I Peter 5:8; Matthew 7:15).

THE CHRISTIAN AND HIS GUN — THE BIBLICAL VIEW: A Message To The Religious Pacifist

Masked men break into your home at 2 a.m. while you and your family are sleeping? What will you do? The issue at hand is the question, does God authorize a Christian to bear arms (or any other means) in the matter of self protection? Man’s law must never seek to prohibit the exercise of God-given rights. If and when it does so, it is not with God’s approval (2 John 9-11; Matthew 28:18). Gun regulation, protection of school children and the issue of personal self-protection are subjects highlighted daily in the USA (and even world) news. Contributing facts to the debate, Executive Vice President and CEO of the National Rifle Association, Wayne LaPierre, boldly upholds the second amendment of our USA Constitution and informs us that, “Already, more than 23,000 schools have armed guards and in all 50 states, government officials, local authorities and school districts are considering their own initiatives to protect schools with armed security — because when it comes to keeping our kids safe at school, nothing else matters.”

Women’s Role In The Church: The Biblical Perspective

ASSAULTS AGAINST BIBLICAL TEACHING ANSWERED: With so much confusion being spread through feminism, humanism, denominationalism, and even misguided individuals in the Lord’s church, it is hoped that the research represented in this book will help to deal with the assaults made against the distinctive roles God has designed for males and females in the worship and work of the church. The following are examples of false arguments named and refuted: First false argument: Junia was identified by Paul as an apostle. Second false argument: Phebe is believed to have held the office of a deacon in the church at Cenchrea since she was highly commended to the church at Rome by Paul (Romans 16:1-2). Third false argument: An argument is made from the use of Deborah in the Old Testament. Why did God make Deborah a judge in Israel (Judges 4:4-5) if this does not justify having women preachers today? Fourth false argument: What about the daughters of Philip, if this example does not justify having women preachers today? Fifth false argument: What about Acts 2:17-18? Both men and women were to prophecy. Does not this authorize having women preachers today? Sixth false argument: In seeking to establish the false position that women were in leadership roles in the church in the first century comes this misguided statement: “In almost every instance, the Greek text lists Priscilla first, which is highly unusual in the culture of the ancient world, and which most likely suggests that of the two, Priscilla was the more prominent.” Can you explain why this statement does not establish authority to have female preachers today? Seventh false argument: There were women elders in the first century church. Can you answer these modern day false arguments? No? Then you will benefit by reading Women’s Role In The Church. Questions are included at the end of each section. Use as class material.

SOLOMON The King Who Built A House For God – I Kings 1-11

Many Bible students are aware that Jesus Christ referenced the event of an important Queen who traveled a great distance to hear the wisdom of King Solomon (Matthew 12:42). Just prior to being stoned to death, the faith-filled and courageous young man, Stephen, included Solomon in his inspired reminder of Hebrew history when he stated, “But Solomon built him an house” (Acts 7:47). The question concerning the typology of the temple is not left unanswered. What did the temple foreshadow? As Jesus added to his comment about the wisdom of Solomon, saying, “behold, a greater than Solomon is here” (Luke 11:31). What is the temple of God today? Who is spiritual Israel today? None should doubt that our morally corrupt society is in dire need of the lessons given in the Scriptures, in particular the principles revealed as a result of the discussion of this King who built a house for God.

The Preacher Series: Church Bulletin Inserts & Class Handouts (Volume 1)

These illustrations have been used and may be used for church or personal bulletin inserts, handouts and as teaching aids. Be it known these are controversial subjects about which the illustrations have been designed. There has been and will always be, as long as time as we know it exists, the need to be set for a defense of the gospel. Paul was (Philippians 1:17). Likewise, there is and will be a need to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints. Jude believed that and by inspiration of the Holy Spirit so stated (read Jude 3). Warning to the reader and the user of these illustrations: Know that these are truly controversial and hard-hitting in their very nature and will raise the dander (equivalent to “make hairs on back of neck stand up”) of some hearers. You may be and in some cases will be persecuted when the full impact of the meaning of these illustrations are comprehended. So, if you publish any of these be ready to put on the whole amour of God and stand against the wiles of the devil (Eph. 6:10-18). Man’s mind was made by God for truth. Remember that your purpose should always be to educate yourself, do good and in so doing educate those who seek and love truth.

How To Interpret And Understand The Bible: Utilizing The Correct Biblical Hermeneutic

Do you want to understand God’s Book? Hermeneutics is the science of interpretation. The Bible says to build an ark of Gopher Wood, should you? (Gen. 6:14). Good luck finding Gopher wood by the way. Jesus said to go to Jerusalem and receive the Holy Spirit baptism, should you? (Acts 1:8). (Holy Spirit Baptism is not for today). If you answer, “Yes,” then upon what rules of interpretation did you determine that answer? Contains the following Charts (and others): “How To Determine Bible Authority From God’s Word” “Three Sources of Authority As It Relates To Expediency” About the author: The author has been a student of the Book for over 40 years, has served as an editor, lectureship director, author, preacher, mission trips to England and Russia, patent holder, has been married for 35 years and is a father.

Have you ever been greatly distressed? King David was greatly distressed yet comes this statement: “. . . but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God” (1 Samuel 30:6). You can do that too. The wisdom found in God’s book is the source of moral, spiritual truth and personal spiritual strength. How you can benefit from this book? Each chapter is a study from Bible accounts and scriptures which teach great lessons for men today. The Bible is more current than tomorrow’s newspaper. Not all that is old is gold, but the Book of God, the Bible, is that very thing. All else, unless based on The book, is but fool’s gold. What do you want to do? Who do you want to be? Suppose you say I want to be the best Christian I can possibly be. How would you go about being that? If you desire to be the best husband or wife you can be, how do you reach and maintain that goal? In order to be the best marriage companion, best parent, best worker, best student, and best Christian you can be to your Lord, think on the following strategy, namely 1) Visualization, 2) Persistence and 3)Prayer. Jesus wanted his disciples to imagine, think of and visualize heaven (John 14:1-13). They could not see it physically as yet, but were to imagine going there beforehand. The Olympic runner first imagines a great start, a successful run and then with head leaning forward sprinting over the finish line. Likewise, the Olympic swimmer, “You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.” (Michael Phelps, Olympic Swimmer, U.S.A.) Dream? He is talking about visualization, right? Yes.

What is the Seal of the Spirit mentioned in Ephesians 1:13-14? There appears to be much confusion today as to the identity of this Seal and some have interpreted it as a somewhat mysterious thing. This booklet seeks to set forth the clear teaching of the inspired apostle Paul on this matter. While there is the danger of jumping to conclusions in everyday life, this is also a problem with many when it comes to the interpretation of the divine text.

There is much confusion today about the person of The Holy Spirit. For
example, Some even believe He is a mere force but not a person.
Therefore it behooves us to ask: What did Jesus, the Son of God, say
about Him? Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has been given all authority in
matters of salvation, Christianity and religion (Matt. 28:18). In view of
that fact it is very appropriate, even essential, that He be heard with
reference to the subject of the third person of the Godhead, the Holy
Spirit. While this list does not pretend to be exhaustive, let’s note fifteen
things Jesus said about the person of the Holy Spirit.

TABLE OF CONTENTS:
ONE: Jesus Said He Casts Out Demons By The Holy Spirit
TWO: Jesus Affirmed That “The Spirit Of The Lord Is Upon Me”
THREE: Jesus Taught That The Heavenly Father Wishes To Give The
Holy Spirit To Those Authorized Ones Who Ask Him
FOUR: Jesus Advocated That One Must Be Born Of The Spirit To Enter
The Kingdom of God
FIVE: The Son of God Promised That His Disciples Will Have Bellies
Overflowing With Living Waters
… AND MORE WITH CHAPTERS SIX THROUGH 15 IN THE BOOKLET!!
