Now, more than anytime in recent years, are we concerned about God and the existence of nations. The past relationship between God and nations may be helpful to understand what the relationship is at the present time. We know that God established national powers, and man is to be subject to the power that exists until it requires disobedience to God. Rom. 13:1; Acts 5:29
The history of man involves a departure from the will of God in many nations. Nations began with families occupying certain territories with an organized leader, who would be classified as a “king”, with the whole being a “kingdom”, where territories and rules apply. From the beginning of mankind, there has been disobedience. Adam, Eve and Cain committed sin, and lost their right to the garden of Eden. In time, man became so wicked in every thought and imagination that God had to destroy mankind with the universal flood in Noah’s day, with only 8 souls being true to God (Gen. 6:1-7). Later, we are told of the wickedness of Sodom (Gen. 13:13), and that of the Amorites, where God put off destroying it because it’s wickedness had not reached it’s peak. God is longsuffering, and displayed that in this situation. Later, (1) The wickedness of Sodom and surrounding cities, and (2) The cries of the righteous caused God to visit Sodom, and eventually send fire and brimstone to destroy such evil people who were given to homosexuality. God intervened in the lives of those of Sodom, and led the righteous out before it’s destruction.
God is concerned about nations, David wrote, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psa. 33:12). Solomon wrote, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Prov. 14:34). God told the children of Israel that if they would heed His will and do what is right, that He would put “none of the diseases” upon the people, that He had done to the wicked Egyptians before He delivered the Israelites out of Egypt, as they formed the nation of His people.
In process of time, Babylon became a great and mighty nation, with Nebuchadnezzar becoming SO wicked that God brought him down (Isa.14:3-12). The king was portrayed as “Lucifer”, or “day star” who would fall or lose his power. During Daniel’s day, God humbled Nebuchadnezzar to the point he had to live like an animal out in the open until he learned that “the Most High rules in the kingdoms of men, Gives it to whomsoever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men” (Dan. 4:17, 25, 32). Later, Belshazzar ruled until God’s “shepherd”, Cyrus of the Persians, led his men under the wall the night Belshazzar saw the handwriting on the wall that his kingdom was finished. Over 100 years before this occurred, God announced (and even called Cyrus by name) that He would dry up the river and bring an end to Babylon’s power (Isa. 44:24-25:1). The king and his men were so drunk that night that they were not able to stop the invasion of the Persians (Dan. 5:18, 21-23).
God says to ALL NATIONS, “Be sure your sins will find you out” (Num. 32:23), if we sow iniquity we will reap sorrow (Prov. 22:8), and if we sow the wind we will reap the whirlwind (Hos. 8:7), and if we sow to the flesh we will reap death (Gal. 6:7-8).
LOOK AT AMERICA! It was founded by men who believed the Bible and the existence of God, and wanted a nation founded upon these facts. For hundreds of years America was called a “Christian nation”, but no longer has that reputation. The last 50 years or so our reputation has changed due to inward corruption. Ancient Rome fell because of inward corruption, and America is hastening to the same end. Let’s look at America through it’s 4-A SOCIETY, with 4 points starting with the letter A.
The first A is that of “ATHEISM”. Atheists and infidels have had a heyday into the thinking of Americans. They have managed through it’s political leaders, to get God kicked out of the school system, and outlawed the practice of prayer in the schools and politics. Even the Boy Scout organization is reportedly filed for bankruptcy after all the lawsuits against them by parents of boys that molested their sons by the so-called counselors (homosexuals) who infiltrated their ranks. America has “forgotten God.” David wrote, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God” (Psa. 19:7). Paul wrote of God’s coming wrath to be poured out on such (Rom. 1:18). Then, beginning with verse 24, Paul spoke of some who once knew God but turned to idolatry, and God gave them “up” to uncleanness, which is described in the following verses as homosexuality. God gave them “over” to a reprobate mind because they did not like to retain God in their knowledge. He stated that such were deserving of the death God would bring upon them (v. 31-32).
The second A of our 4-A SOCIETY is “ADDICTION”. The major addictions involve the use of alcohol and illegal drugs. With alcohol flowing like a river in our society, the use of marijuana and other drugs is taking it’s toll, with many states now legalizing it’s use because people WANT it so, and for the supposed financial gain it will bring to some (not considering the cost of money and lives for its’ addicts). Solomon warned, “Wine is a mocker, Strong drink is a brawler. And whosoever is led astray by it is not wise” (Prov. 20:1). Habakkuk the prophet wrote that a “woe” is upon one who gives his neighbor strong drink, and who drinks with him, and gets drunk with him (Hab. 2:15-17). Some “gospel preachers” and others argue that Jesus drank alcohol and turned water into intoxicating wine, so it is okay to drink today, “as long as we don’t get drunk”. Who are they trying to justify, themselves or others? (Luke 16:15). The local First Baptist Church here in Denison recently went into shock when their Pastor announced to the Church that he was now an alcoholic. He had been a teetotaler, but having trouble sleeping, he was told that a glass of wine each night would help. He said it DID, and it got to be a regular practice, until he turned to alcoholic drinks on a regular and habitual practice, until he reached his present state of complete addiction to alcohol. He is no longer the local Pastor. Alcohol sales are up 55% since the invasion of the land of the Coronavirus early in 2020. Watching television, one cannot help but notice that in virtually EVERY program of any kind, it only takes a few minutes of activity before the alcohol is served.
The 3rd “A” in our 4-A SOCIETY is that of “ADULTERY”, with the breakdown of the American family. Adultery takes place when a man puts away his wife for any cause other than “fornication”, and marries another, and when the one put away engages in adultery when she marries another, as well as the new partner being guilty also (Matt. 19:9).
It may be true that there are getting to be fewer and fewer divorces, simply because there are fewer and fewer marriages, where men and women simply “live together” as “partners” in life, without a legal license to do so. Involved in our society is also the practice of HOMOSEXUALITY, like that of the society of Sodom long ago. Jude 7 refers to Sodom’s actions as that of “fornication”, a word that describes all types of sexual misconduct. It does not take much time on the TV shows to see “homosexuals” honored and given a respectable place in society. In the 2019 Democrat party’s contestants was one homosexual, (a “wife” to another male). Game shows on TV very often feature those who are “gay” or have homosexual partners (men with men, women with women, as per Rom. 1:25-27). God made it clear a long time ago that such is an abomination to God, as He forbids it (Lev. 18:24; 1 Kings 14:24). It is a perversion, and to even engage in a “same-sex marriage” is a desecration of the divine order of marriage and the home, where God only authorizes one-man and one-woman in an honorable marriage, and anything else is sinful (Heb. 13:4). The famous Oklahoman (Joe Exotic) had his triangle “union” as a “wife”, with 2 other men involved in an immoral union. Joe is now imprisoned for murder, with his TV series being broadcast over the land.
The Roman Catholic Church basically serves as a front for homosexuals in the United States and throughout the world. This has been going on for some 1500 known years. Dating back to 1950, there have been 3,000 “priests” charged with child molestation, and by 2004, there were 4392 such cases in America alone, as well as other countries throughout the world. Their “punishment” was simply being transferred by the area bishops to another location, and the Pope would publicly apologize for their actions to the world.
Paul wrote that adulterers, effeminate and abusers of themselves with mankind, shall NOT enter into the kingdom of heaven. Homosexuals are called Sodomites in 1 Kings 14:24; 15:12; 22:46; 2 Kings 23:7 in the KJV.

In 1973, our Supreme Court was led into the effort to justify the killing of unborn children by a process called “abortion,” whereby the expected baby could be killed in the womb of it’s mother and killed (prior to delivery), to give women’s their “rights” in society. To make a long story short, there have been almost 62 millions destroyed in this manner in this land, with America also influencing other nations to commit the same evil practice. To “abortionists”, the expected “babe” in the womb is referred to as a “fetus”, or a part of the mother, who can do with her body whatsoever she wants, and that without sin. In Exodus 21:22-23, God stated that if a man hurt “a woman with child”, and the “child” DIES, that the man is to be punished, as “life for life”, meaning that the child lost was ALIVE while in the womb. If not more than a glob of flesh of the woman, WHY DOES THAT FETUS HAVE IT’S OWN HEART, IT’S OWN BLOOD (and sometimes a different blood type than the woman)?? God hates the putting away of innocent blood (Prov. 6:16-18). No person is so innocent as a babe who has not yet been delivered, and for sometime after that.
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE “VIRUS” PLAGUE THAT IS UPON US JUST MIGHT BE A WARNING FROM GOD (WHETHER HE SENT IT OR EVEN ALLOWS IT TO BE HERE)? God has destroyed other nations because of grievous sins, and who are we to say He will NOT be doing the same today? God once cared about the welfare of nations and brought an end to them. This virus plague has brought America and many other nations to it’s knees, and it should humble us and cause some ONE or MORE persons in power to turn things around before it is too late. The fiery end of the world may be next.
